Most people get stuck in a rut and can’t get out of bed or don’t want to get out the house. However, no matter what you think this is not healthy for you. You need to get up and you need to see the sunlight. I know I’ve been there it’s hard when you have had a change in your life to be positive about it if it was something negative for you.
I’ve always been told that there are two ways to go and this is so true. You can either look at the positive or you can turn yourself into a self-destructive person. Let’s look at the negative first.
The Negative: For instance you’re so upset because your dog just died and your fiancé left you for his hot new assistant and you become down in the dumps and want to stay locked up in your house. You start to dwell on every little thing that has happened in your life and you start becoming very depressed then depression sets in. Let’s take it even further and say you’ve turned to drugs and alcohol and you keep going down and down in this horrible spiral that will take months even possibly years to come out of. You don’t want to become this person.
The Positive: We’ll take the same situation and dog died and cheating fiancé. Instead of becoming depressed about these things you take a different outlook on life and tell yourself that you are better than that because let’s face it, if that lying scumbag is going to do that to you after everything that you guys have done together and the start of a life then you deserve better. You start thinking of all the things you wanted to do when you were together that he would never let you do. You become more active and take those hot yoga classes that you always wanted to try, you go to the restaurant you always wanted to try that would of never of even crossed his mind going to or he didn’t want to be adventurous with food, the list could go on and on. The difference is, is that you put yourself out there, you get going and you get out there.
Lets make a list of ways to stay positive through those hard times in life and to get you back out there:
1. Don’t let negative thoughts take over your head. You are your worst enemy and you can’t let that get to you.
2. Find new hobbies and make new friends. Put yourself out there.
3. Learn more about yourself and sense that you can be okay no matter what the situation is.
4. Think of the positive in every situation instead of focusing on the bad.
5. Last but not least, when you wake up in the mornings tell yourself that you’re going to win! No matter what you do in every aspect of your life you will win. At work, the grocery store, your spin class, etc. you will win.
Follow these 5 things when you’re feeling like you can’t get out of bed and it will really help change your mood. You’re whole outlook on life will change and you can become a happier person.
