Summer Reading: What are you reading at the beach?
Although my toes have yet to touch a beach, summer always gets me thinking about what book will be this year's great beach read. Regardless of whether I read it on a beach or just listen to an audiobook while driving or loading the dishwasher, I'm curious to see what book will consume me like Gone Girl, Cutting for Stone, or Magicians have in past summers. These books are the ones I'll stay up far to late finishing or if I'm listening on a long drive they are one that will make me want to drive around the block just so I can listen to more. So far none have caused me to jog an extra mile to listen to more but I'll put that more on my fitness level than on book quality. If you are of a similar mindset you might be interested in the categories in the infographic below!
What kind of reader are you? I'll start. The categories that most apply to me are the Audiobook Listener (so many opportunities to multitask here: exercise, bathing, hair drying, folding laundry, combatting insomnia) and Conflicted (having a preschooler and a startup has significantly cut into any time available to sit down with a book). Please add your categories and book recommendations for this summer's reading list in the comment section below.
