I don't think we need the dictionary definition of a “broad” to reach a consensus on who is or isn't a “broad” As Justice Potter Stewart famously said in his ruling on what constitutes pornography, “I'll know it when I see it” The same holds true for broads. Examples ; Sophia Loren:broad, Grace Kelly:not a broad. Cleopatra:broad, Marie Antoinette;not a broad, Cameron Diaz;broad, Anne Hathaway; not a broad. Liz Taylor, Lauren Bacall, Katherine Hepburn; broads. Julie Andrews, Judy Garland, not broads. To me a broad, as in ‘she's a good old broad” has always been one of the highest of compliments. I'm sure I got this from my father because when he referred to a women as a “broad”, he meant it in the nicest possible way. To him a broad is someone as comfortable with men as with women. The kind of women who is down to earth and not pretentious. A woman who is more interested in the people she is talking to than she is interested in herself. Of course, it didn't hurt if she could handle her liquor. Let's discuss what makes a woman a broad and why we should all aspire to be one. In the meantime who are your favorite broads?
