Tell us about your product or service.
I provide Web Design Services. I specialize in CMS (Content Management Systems) like WordPress, Joomla and Magento. I have several years experience in HTML/CSS used in creating “static” websites. Due to the increase in small businesses wanting a more “hands-on” platform, 95% of my requests are for CMS websites.
What inspired you to launch your business?
A few years ago I was laid off from my last job of nearly 6 years. I was not happy there as it was monotonous – answering phones, some accounting, miscellaneous office work. Being laid off was actually a blessing. It allowed me to return to school to update my technology skills as a designer and developer. In doing so, I was able to start my own business with the support of my husband and family. Now I absolutely love waking up each day and doing what I love all day. Creating beautiful extraordinary websites for extraordinary women!
What problem does your business or organization solve?
I think the main problem is for women to find that “look” or design that expresses their company’s vision…professional and affordable too!
What has been your biggest challenge and how are you working to overcome it?
My biggest challenge is I am a work at home grandmother. I wasn’t able to stay home with my own children since I was a struggling single mother of three children due to unfortunate circumstances and basically really bad choices. I am now blessed to spend time with my newest grandson, presently 8 months old. Although it is hard work juggling both a baby and career, it is truly a blessing.

How has Project Eve helped you and/or your business?
Project Eve brings me where I want to be. Helping other women entrepreneurs share their vision and make their own dreams come true. Nothing pleases me more than a client who is so ecstatic about the work I do for them. I wish them much success and feel privileged that they chose me to be a part of it!
Give us an insider tip that relates to your industry.
The biggest tip I can give is to present yourself professionally. Presentation is key whether it comes to websites, business cards etc. First impressions are extremely important so invest a little in yourself! It takes a person less than two tenths of a second to form a first impression – so make it good!
