What inspired you to launch your business?
After spending a lifetime in the Canadian television production business, reality television hit the screen. In that moment the dynamics of producing television changed. I needed to decide how to navigate the new waters. It occurred to me that maybe I should hire a coach. As luck would have it, I was sharing a bottle of wine with an acquaintance of mine who is a coach. By the end of the bottle, and after some riveting conversation, I decided to go back to school and get certified as a coach and Newroad opened in 2005.
What problem does your business or organization solve?
Newroad was created to help individuals realize their goals and dreams. As part of this process we help clients ferret out what is holding them back from achieving their potential. We work with each client on everything from career and finances to health and happiness.
What has been your biggest challenge and how are you working to overcome it?
The biggest challenge has been growing the company while maintaining quality control. It is for this reason that Newroad only works with a select number of individuals at any given time. To accommodate all those needing coaching, who are unable to be facilitated by our one-on-one personal programs, we are launching Club Newroad; a coaching membership site accessible to all, in November of 2013.
