There’s nothing I love more than the changing seasons. From the warm days of summer to the crisp cool air of fall, each time of year has something special to offer. However, the season I always look forward to the most is winter. Don’t get me wrong, I love a good splash in the pool, but there’s just something special about throwing snowballs and enjoying a warm toasty fire. Not to mention, um, Christmas. For me, the winter holidays have always had a special place in my heart. Growing up, my family took Christmas very seriously. Which means, I’ve carried those same traditions over to my family now.
To me, the biggest tradition of all is warm and delicious drinks. From heated eggnog to hot chocolate, I love curling up on a cold winter’s morning with a hot drink and my favorite book. It makes starting my day perfect. When my husband comes home from work, having him join me on the couch for some after dinner hot chocolate is the perfect ending to my day. When I was little any kind of hot chocolate would do but now those instant hot chocolate packets just aren’t desirable. From clumpy pieces in the bottom of the cup to that powdery feel that never really goes away, I’ve moved on to bigger and better hot chocolate.
International Delight Makes Hot Chocolate Delicious Again
My morning coffee has now been replaced by morning hot cocoa, but that doesn’t mean I have to replace my International Delight. Instead of adding the delicious taste of the season to my coffee, the hot chocolate has become a morning tradition. International Delight Hot Chocolate is perfect for those snowy mornings when I need a pick-me-up, or for those afternoons after time outside building snowmen. With milk and dark chocolate varieties, I can tailor my cup to whatever deliciousness I’m craving at the moment. Sometimes, a super sweet cup hits the spot, while other times a more bitter dark chocolate is calling my name. I love knowing I can transform my chocolate to be delicious and different every day.
I love adding my own flavors into my hot chocolate. International Delight makes it easy to heat and serve the cocoa in my favorite mugs. For holiday parties, creating a hot chocolate bar is one of my favorite ways to introduce my friends and family to the drink I love. This year, warming International Delight Hot Chocolate quickly was a breeze. I simply placed the mugs along my serving table with peppermint sticks, marshmallows, whipped cream, chocolate syrup, and International Delight creamers and flavor additives for even more festive cheer. Have you ever tried International Delight Hot Chocolate with Pumpkin Spice mixed in? How about mixed with Vanilla or Original Nog. They are a mix to die for! My guests can make their cup exactly what they want without me spending hours in the kitchen!
