Startup Stories: Entering the childcare industry!

Tell us about your entrepreneurial product or service.
My service caters to the positive development of young minds. I teach and care for children ages 1-4.

What inspired you to launch your business idea?
I saw that I had an ability to teach others. As a youngster I taught my cousins to read. Having my own child also showed this strength. My son was completely prepared for grade school because of the early education I provided him. I worked with children in a childcare center setting for many years and finally decided I should start my own early education centers.

What problem does your business or organization solve?
My business serves working parents. Parents need to have an income in order to provide for their children. My service allows them to be employed while being great parents. I am in the business of providing a safe, nurturing, educational facility for the children of working parents.

What has been your biggest challenge as an entrepreneur and how are you working to overcome it?
My biggest challenge has been financial education and organization. I am currently in debt but I am searching for classes to help me better manage my finances. I also am struggling with creating systems that can be duplicated when I start to open other businesses.

How has Project Eve helped you and/or your business?
This is my first time tapping in to Project Eve.

Give us an insider tip that relates to your industry or startup story.
Always have a backup activity planned in case the children are not interested in your primary activity.
