Tell us about your entrepreneurial product or service.
Eco Falls started a movement with the goal of reducing waste in our local schools and educating students on how to effect positive change. Four years later, we have launched eco-friendly fundraisers nationwide and helped reduce waste by an estimated 1,000,000 plastic bottles. Moms shop on our site to purchase reusable bottles for their kids, and schools launch fundraisers using the same online platform. Everyone can benefit from Eco Falls while we sustain our planet one reusable bottle at a time!
What inspired you to launch your business idea?
I was reading an article about single-use-container pollution and thought, there has to be a better way. So, I started offering schools free educational assemblies. The assemblies would take place in the school cafeteria and educate the students on how to live sustainably. The kids responded well; the rest is history!
What problem does your business or organization solve?
We help reduce the plastic waste in landfills and help schools raise funds for their environmental initiatives.
What has been your biggest challenge as an entrepreneur and how are you working to overcome it?
Our biggest challenge has been to experience scalable growth. We have hired interns to keep us abreast with social media.
