Got Lemons?

Got Lemons?

I LOVE LEMONS! I am so lucky to have a lemon tree that yields lemons all the time! None of my neighbors need to buy lemons…they just walk up to my tree and do a little lemon shopping.

It not always necessary to buy store bought cold remedies. You will be surprised to find that you have great all-natural remedies in your kitchen. Bypass those throat lozenges from the store and try this:Lemon for the throat. Lemon is traditionally used to soothe sore throats as it is rich in Vitamin C and fights off infections. It is best to use hot or warm lemon juice and to strengthen its soothing action by sweetening it with clear honey.

Use lemons to clean your microwave, garbage disposal and laundry.

Microwave: Take a lemon and slice it in 1/4. Place it into the microwave and set for 1 minute. Let it cool off before you remove. Wipe down the entire interior of microwave. Not only does it clean but it also leaves a fresh scent.

Garbage Disposal: Take lemon you “nuked” and toss in disposal, run hot water and run disposal. This will clean and leave you with a refreshing scent.

Laundry: I use a cup of lemon juiced strained and add to my white load. Not only does it brighten but leaves a lemony scent! We all know lemon scent reminds you of freshness.
