“Everything has a price. Nobody has an easy life. You just have no idea what price they had to pay to be where they are now” words of truth spoken by CamMi. I responded with “People see the glory, but never know the real story”. There are some things that we keep to ourselves. Even your best friend and confidant does not know every intimidate detail of your life. Yes, we all have secrets. But, the reality is people don’t need to know all your secrets. That’s why they’re called “secrets”.
However, the price that you paid to get to a place in life could help someone. Revelations 12:11 says, “And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony; and they loved not their lives unto the death” (KJV). It is our personal testimonials and those of others that can inspire us to move to the next level. So, it’s a good thing to share how much it cost to overcome those obstacles and enemies that presented themselves on your path to success. As CamMi indicated “Nobody has an easy life”. Now you may say, “Those born into wealth have it very easy”. But, material possessions do not negate a life without obstacles. What your struggle is may not be my struggle, but we all have a struggle. What price have you paid to get to your “NOW” state? It may or may not be exactly where you want to be, but it is where you are. This in itself is success. Because, you didn’t give up or give into life circumstances or the enemy of your soul. You paid the price and now you can talk about the cost. So, share your story. It could be your real story that will help someone else to have their own. My overcoming testimonial strategies:
1. Never let them see you sweat.
2. Everybody is not on the bus with you.
3. Time is not on your side, unless you use it wisely.
4. Today is what you have, so embrace the “now”.
5. Speak to fear and tell it where you want it to go.
6. Preparation is the key to opportunity.
7. Trust God.
