Have you ever looked for something with great intensity until you missed it all together? Often times the thing you need the most is right under your nose. Today, I scrambled and spent a countless amount of time looking for a plug that was only in the room next door. The problem was I didn’t have the information needed to move towards the thing I was looking for. Until I asked the right person where to find the plug it was just something I was looking for. Sometimes if we are provided with the appropriate directions we can take the initiative to get what’s needed. On the other hand, some people get the information and still miss what they need. There are some practical steps that will produce a desired outcome:
1). Take a moment to think about what it is you really want.
2). Ask for help (i.e.; we don’t know everything).
3). If the help is valid apply what was told.
4). Don’t second guess what has been told. Just Do It!
5). Put the advice into action.
It doesn’t take a Rocket Scientist to understand that without essential information the rocket can never launch. However, without asking questions you may never know how to launch. Take your time and don’t be afraid to ask for “help!” The helper may be able to inform you that “what you’re looking for is right next to you.
