How to love yourself and positive affirmations

Most moms I know these days think they have to be some type of super mom – be able to do all the diy projects on Pinterest and cook a 7-course meal after working an 8-hour day. In this world with the new ideal of being a super mom, most moms at some point will suffer from low self-esteem. But what is important is how people deal with low self-esteem and what measures they take to build self-confidence.

Here are ten steps to positive self-esteem:

1. Write affirmations – positive statements about you
2. Accept compliments and reject put-downs
3. Build trusting relationships with people who support you
4. Clarify your values, i.e., identify things that are important to you
5. Decide on changes you want, then make them.
6. Get motivated by involving yourself in activities that are consistent with your values.
7. Set goals that are realistic and achievable
8. Take risks to change and grow.
9. Develp a personal achievement portfolio to show your accomplishments
10. Accept yourself and like who you are.

2. Don’t scare yourself – Stop terrorizing yourself with your thoughts. Find a mental image that gives you pleasure.

3. Praise yourself – Criticism breaks down the inner spirit. Praise builds it up. Tell yourself how well you are doing with every little thing.
