Tell us about your entrepreneurial product or service.
After breast cancer, chemo and radiation, I suffered dry cracked painful heels. I tried several products on the market, non of which worked. After much research I found 60% of the products on the market contain parabens. Parabens test positive for estrogen, estrogen positive breast cancer is the most common breast cancer in the US. I went on a mission to invent a product to repair cracked heels that is paraben free and works. I spent 2 years with a chemist developing the correct formula and design of Hutt’s Heels.
What inspired you to launch your business idea?
I tried 5 products on the market for cracked heel repair and non of them worked. I started to research ingredients that would repair cracked heels. Once I started researching ingredients I also looked into ingredients used in current products. I found 60% of the current products contained parabens.
After going thru chemo and radiation for breast cancer I have been advised to avoid all products that contain estrogen, since my cancer was estrogen positive. It was at this time I decided to invent a product that is paraben free and really repairs cracked heels.
