Some months I was comforted by knowing that even for healthy adults the odds showed that I wasn’t supposed to get pregnant in any given month. Other months I was comforted by knowing that if I sought treatment we would have a better chance of conceiving. Sometimes I needed that just to drag myself in for another test or to pee on another ovulation stick.

I revisited these facts and used just about every OTC predictor and medical intervention I could. I’m happy to say it worked for us. In the event, you are struggling here are some of the infertility facts I hung my hat on while I was in the thick of things. I hope they help you too.

New treatments are coming along ALL the time. Just recently:

7 Infertility Facts #6 & #7

Although it wasn’t around for me, a new IVF technique called IVM designed to help women with PCOS appears to be less expensive and more effective.

A 100-year old technique called HSG was shown to be significantly more effective when a specific type of oil was used to flush the fallopian tubes.

Hang in there! I hope this helps. Do know I’ve been there and I tried it all (OTC, Eastern Medicine, traditional medicine). Countless other women, you see happily pushing strollers, have been there too. I frequently discuss my miscarriages so other women suffering in silence know they aren’t alone too.
