I like to write.
It’s something that I have always done and it’s always been a bit of a refuge for me.
My main form of writing is poetry; I’ve kept a journal for many years now and I’ve been able to write about thoughts and feelings that I could never seem to express out loud. Its acted as a form of therapy for me, a form of release; when I write I feel my emotions flow out of me and onto the page and I feel different…better.
I started my blog on my website with the purpose of writing about my business, business tips, information, etc. I was told that is what my blog should be about because I am trying to promote myself and my business.
But you know what? That’s not what I am all about; I’m not all about business. What I have to share on my blog in terms of business is not anything different that hasn’t been shared on a thousand other blogs already. Now that’s not to say that I can’t share an article that I find interesting or a tip that I think will help someone with a problem; I will still do those things because they are important and they are expected.
But what I will also do is express more of myself through my blog: you will get more glimpses into my life and what motivates me to do the things I do. I will share my thoughts on being a small business owner and all the ups and downs that go with that. I will share my thoughts and feelings about things going on in the world. I will talk about the grieving process my family is still going through over the loss of my dad and how that affects me personally and how it also drives me to succeed when I feel like giving up at times.
I like to write.
For me that means writing about any and everything that moves me to pick up a pen and paper, or sit at my keyboard. Getting to know more about me personally will provide insight into why you should hire me professionally. The business I am in, virtual assistant, is all about building relationships and trust and there is no better way to do that than sharing a bit of myself with you.
