If you’re anything like me, you probably don’t always have time to cook a huge meal breakfast, lunch, and dinner. As someone who works long hours  and tries to maintain a household, sometimes making dinner is the last thing I want to do. However, that doesn’t mean I don’t want something delicious to put on the dinner table. For a long time, I rotated through my ‘regular’ crock pot meals.  But, if you’ve ever tried to clean a crock pot after a particularly involved and messy prep, you’ll understand why I started to feel like I needed to mix it up. Also, as the winter days start to get a little longer and I start thinking about spring I don’t always want something heavy and caloric. Frequently I’m finding that a GREAT SALAD is the perfect way to finish my day. A giant one bowl salad can even get me through a couple nights if I’m solo for a couple days. If my family is around its usually just a one night affair but at least I got my family to eat their veggies!

My Go-To One-Bowl SaladGrowing up, I always shied away from salads. For some reason, I thought I didn’t like them. It wasn’t until I found the right mix of ingredients  that I really started to love salads. Of course, creating the perfect salad is a bit like a work of art. It’s all about My Go-To One-Bowl Saladbalance, and the perfect mixture of greens, veggies, protein, and dressing. The key to a great salad is a delicious dressing and well-seasoned protein. My go-to choices are Wish-Bone® Italian Dressing and Tyson® Grilled & Ready® chicken make for a salad that is absolutely out of this world! Of course, finding all the freshest ingredients and produce at my local Wal-Mart makes creating a masterpiece even easier!

One added benefit of a GREAT SALAD is that I can make it easily in one bowl. No dirtying tons of dishes, pots, pans. A large mixing bowl and a vegetable knife are all I need. For my one-bowl salad recipe, I love having the freshest ingredients on hand and really mixing it up with different flavors and textures. For this recipe, the tang of Wish-Bone® Italian Dressing Feta Cheese, Croutons, and Tyson® Grilled & Ready® chicken are the cornerstones of the dish.
