They say a picture is worth a thousand words. What if that picture was on your body?

P.Ink is a non-profit that connects breast cancer survivors who have undergone a masectomy to tattoo artists and resources to help them through their healing process. In their view and in the eyes of the survivors they have helped, turning a reminder from their past into a beautiful work of art on one’s body is a way to enter a new chapter in one’s life and start fresh.

According to the research on P.ink’s site, “There are 2.6 million Breast Cancer survivors in the U.S. After surgery, 56% of them are left with unwanted masectomy scars and no nipples.” In a compassionate and loving way, P.ink is helping to turn something scary and dark into something symbolic and beautiful.

P.ink’s site is set up on Pinterest with different pinterest boards highlighting their purpose, resources, and the women they have touched. The goal of P.ink is to expose survivors to a healing option that they may not know much about: tattoos. For many people, tattoos have been an alternative way to spiritually and emotionally heal from a traumatic incident in one’s life.

P.ink offers an outlet to share these stories on their pinterest board. One story, in particular really struck a chord with me, and I’m going to let the video below explain her story, because words cannot describe the admiration I hold for this woman named Molly and her journey.

Molly’s Story: P.INK Youtube Video :

Breast Cancer does not discriminate and everyone knows at least one person who has been affected by it. Sometimes it feels as if it’s beyond our control and in many ways it is. But this is one way that cancer will never win. Cancer cannot take away a survivors spirit and courage to start fresh and anew. P.ink is just one of the organizations out there helping women on the journey towards starting their new chapter after having a masectomy.

If you are a breast cancer survivor or a tattoo artist (or know either) you can connect with P.ink from the list below:

  1. Woah! I’m really enjoying the template/theme of this blog.
It’s simple, yet effective. A lot of times it’s very
hard to get that “perfect balance” between usability and appearance.

I must say you have done a very good job with this.
Also, the blog loads very quick for me on Chrome.

    Excellent Blog!

  2. I have discovered that intelligent real estate agents everywhere are warming up to FSBO Advertising and marketing. They are knowing that it’s more than simply placing a sign in the front property. It’s really with regards to building connections with these retailers who someday will become buyers. So, when you give your time and energy to serving these sellers go it alone : the “Law connected with Reciprocity” kicks in. Thanks for your blog post.

  3. I do accept as true with all the concepts you’ve introduced on your post. They’re very convincing and will definitely work. Nonetheless, the posts are too brief for beginners. Could you please prolong them a little from subsequent time? Thank you for the post.

  4. I like the valuable information you provide in your articles. I’ll bookmark your weblog and check again here regularly. I am quite certain I will learn lots of new stuff right here! Best of luck for the next!

  5. Hi there, just became alert to your blog through Google, and found that it’s really informative. I’m gonna watch out for brussels. I will be grateful if you continue this in future. Lots of people will be benefited from your writing. Cheers!

  6. I would also love to add that if you do not actually have an insurance policy or else you do not participate in any group insurance, you may well take advantage of seeking the assistance of a health agent. Self-employed or people having medical conditions normally seek the help of one health insurance dealer. Thanks for your short article.

  7. Thanks for the concepts you have provided here. On top of that, I believe usually there are some factors that really keep your car insurance premium straight down. One is, to contemplate buying cars that are from the good report on car insurance providers. Cars which might be expensive tend to be at risk of being lost. Aside from that insurance policies are also depending on the value of your automobile, so the more pricey it is, then the higher the actual premium you make payment for.
