Tell us about your entrepreneurial product or service.
Story Sisters CIC has 2 products on offer.
We are a Christian company with touring plays available to hire for substance misuse services, women’s hostels, churches and secondary schools.
We use real life stories to raise awareness for people struggling with life controlling issues e.g addictions, alcoholism, eating disorders, anxiety and depression etc.
We also have a 10 week programme we offer for free for women struggling with any of the issues who need help and support.
Part of the course is creative arts, which we use to produce more theatre.
What inspired you to launch your business idea?
Four and a half years I cried out for forgiveness and help and was set free by Jesus Christ from alcoholism.
During the four and a half years I have also struggled with depression, which I have now been set free from.
During my struggle with depression God spoke to me about using my life story and experiences to help others who are suffering.
I have now written my own play “The Devil’s In The Drink”, which is available for bookings.
I was also lead to Christian healing training, and gained experience working with substance misusers to help with setting up the 10 week programme.
What problem does your business or organization solve?
Life controlling issues e.g anxiety and depression, alcoholism and addictions, eating disorders, self harm and effects of all forms of abuse.
What has been your biggest challenge as an entrepreneur and how are you working to overcome it?
The fact that my programme has a faith based approach, it has been difficult to find funding or raise my profile.
I am raising the funds by touring the play.
I am also getting in contact with Christian organisations, where I will have a greater response.
Give us one word that people might use to describe you.
How has Project Eve helped you and/or your business?
It is helping me now by allowing me to raise my profile on this site.
