For hundreds of years, Americans have gleefully waited for the one day a year where they can hold cookouts, get together with neighbors, wave around little flags, and experience the thrill of watching fireworks explode into the night sky. They wait for Independence Day.
It’s also a nice time of the year to get a day off of work! But, just because most businesses are closed on the 4th of July, doesn’t mean that your business has to suffer in sales. In fact, there are some great ways you can use this patriotic holiday to help market your company’s services.
Marketing Tips for the 4th of July:
-Advertise Around the Action. Find prime picnic or firework spots around your community and place some patriotic themed advertisements.
-Decorate Your Site. Decorate either your online or offline location with red, white, and blue adornments.
-Give Deals to the Proud. For anyone that shows off their red, white, and blue pride (usually with their clothing choice), offer them a discount or special promotion.
-Raise the Flag. Make sure to put up an American flag in front of your store to grab the attention of passing customers and show off your spirit.
-Volunteer Your Services. In return for some free advertising, offer your specialized services to any special events committees that need help coordinating activities.
-Create Exclusive Content. Offer American themed products exclusively for the week of the 4th.
-Blog About It. Share a family memory or happy holiday remembrance on your business blog to remind everyone that Independence Day is about coming together and celebrating our unique liberties.
-Offer Freebies. Everybody loves those little American flags that you can wave around at parades or firework displays. Give them away for free with the name of your company printed along the side.
-Mention the American Dream. Use social media platforms to express how your small business falls in line with the American spirit and core American values. And be sure to show off everything you’ve done to celebrate Independence Day!
Even if you can’t spell out your company’s name in a fireworks display, there are still plenty of things you can do to promote your American and business pride!
