Have you looked at the calendar recently? It’s time to start thinking about summer vacation if you haven’t already. Whether it’s a girls’ weekend or a family trip with friends, there’s a lot that goes into the booking process.

Once you decided who will be going and where you’ll all be going, the next step is to find the best deal. Usually, one person takes the lead because when there are too many cooks in the proverbial kitchen, it’s just chaos. But, not everyone likes to get that responsibility because it comes with dealing with money and payments. We all know that can get a little sticky, especially between family and friends.

If you’ve stepped up to the plate, good for you! Now it’s time to not only find the best deal, but also figure out how much it’s going to cost everyone. Once you get the green light from the tribe on the cost, it’s time to pay up.

Red light.

This is sometimes not so easy.

Whether you go through a travel agent or book online, it’s so much easier for one person to handle the payments. Handing over five credit cards to a travel agent or having five people go online to pay is annoying and can get confusing at the same time. It’s easier to use one credit card and then get reimbursed from everyone else.

In the old days, friends and family would tell you, “the check’s in the mail”. In 2017, no one says that anymore. Instead, you can tell them to download the new Square Cash app from the Apple App Store or Google Play Market. Square Cash is the easiest way to pay back your friends and family. I download my app in a couple of minutes.

After everyone downloads the app and the bank information is added, it’s time to get paid. Square Cash uses an email interface so simply fill in the “to” field and either “pay” or “request”. As long as your bank account or debit card is linked up, there’s no charge for sending or receiving money. Once everyone “squares up” with you, you can simply transfer the money into your bank account immediately. The app even works with the contact list in your phone. If a friend has the Square Cash app, they might have a $cashtag by their name.  This lets you know they have already downloaded the app and are ready to go. It doesn’t get much easier than that!

The Square Cash app eliminates waiting for your friends to put the check in the mail. You also don’t have to make those awkward requests for money that’s owed to you.

Simply get everyone to square up and get reimbursed in minutes. Planning those group vacations just got easier. It’s so easy in fact that you may actual volunteer to take the lead this year!

  1. Thanks for your article. It is very unfortunate that over the last decade, the travel industry has already been able to to handle terrorism, SARS, tsunamis, influenza, swine flu, and also the first ever entire global economic downturn. Through everthing the industry has really proven to be effective, resilient along with dynamic, discovering new approaches to deal with hardship. There are often fresh problems and the possiblility to which the marketplace must yet again adapt and act in response.

  2. Thanks for your blog post. Things i would like to make contributions about is that computer system memory is required to be purchased but if your computer can no longer cope with that which you do by using it. One can mount two good old ram boards of 1GB each, for instance, but not one of 1GB and one with 2GB. One should check the car maker’s documentation for one’s PC to make certain what type of memory is essential.
