Tell us about your entrepreneurial product or service.
Inspire Me To… was created with one goal in mind. To inspire children to: Create, Discover, Give, Grow, and Succeed. These five pillars of inspiration will enable children to build stronger self-esteem, higher confidence levels, and a greater self-awareness. We pass this message on through unique, personalized and beautifully illustrated children’s picture books in hopes that we are empowering our future generations to deliver a better tomorrow, today.

What inspired you to launch your business idea?
My college roommate and I used to speak about business ideas to kill time. We would often brainstorm various ideas. Most of them, we brushed off as it someone else was already in that market. We finally discussed the idea of offering inspirational children's books that really set a strong foundation of morals, and appreciate ones self. The idea really came about, after we talked about how much the parenting parameters were changing, even from when we were growing up until we entered college.

After graduation, we sort of went our separate ways and continue to stay in touch. We reconnected when the project started to build some momentum. My friend, and college roommate is now the author of our series of beautifully illustrated personalized children's books.

What problem does your business or organization solve?
We really wanted to empower today's youth. Create teachable moments in life for parents to take a step back, and realize how important it is to set a solid foundation for their children. We achieve this through our personalized children's books. Each book carries a specific inspirational message based on what we decided as five important pillars. They are: create, discover, give, grow, and succeed.

By customizing the books online, and allowing children to become contributing authors, it creates a special bond between parent and child. The finished product arrives within a week to end each night with a special bedtime story.

What has been your biggest challenge as an entrepreneur and how are you working to overcome it?
One of the biggest challenges is focusing on launching a business, in addition to the responsibilities of being a wife, and a parent. I share parenting duties with my husband and my three children keep me very busy. So a lot of times, I have really focus on setting time aside to spend with family when I first get home, but as work is still needing to be completed, I often find myself on the computer into the wee hours of the night. Good thing I have strong coffee available.

  1. Hi I am not sure , why there arent any comments about this startup. I feel this is splendid and a must have.
First the concept is great and bringing the stories to life , with voice, sketches and with later q/a is just great!
The key to this is awareness, education , promotion and a very important part that is Pricing credits. Kids grow fast and the stories change along with it, thus providing referral credits might change the game. Maybe an iphone or ipad app too. I am sure these would be on the way as the startup makes money.

    Thanks/ Subs
