Tell us about your entrepreneurial product or service: Kristalni Vez
Kristalni Vez offers stunning handmade jewelry, unique to Croatia. This is a modern version of traditional croatian jewelry, which has over a hundred years old history and a social mission. It’s a statement jewelry with a twist in colors.
What inspired you to launch your business idea?
I wanted to create a job for myself and others, so I could be independent and financially free. I also wanted to work from my home and almost by accident I discovered traditional jewelry so unique and beautiful I was sure women all over the world would love wearing. So, I signed up for a class to learn how to handcraft it and that was the beginning.
What problem does your business or organization solve?
Women looking for a unique statement jewelry piece will love the jewelry I offer.
As the number of customers grow, more women will be handcrafting this jewelry with me, and this would mean they have a quality and well payed job – so the jewelry also solves the problem of high unemployment amongst women in my community.
What has been your biggest challenge as an entrepreneur and how are you working to overcome it?
My biggest challenge was promoting my products and myself as an entrepreneur.
I am gaining more and more confidence by concentrating on the fact that there are many women who would love and appreciate what I do, and it’s easier to promote when it’s no longer about me, but about my potential customers.
Give us one word that people might use to describe you.
How has Project Eve helped you and/or your business?
It helped me see I’m not alone in this. Solopreneurship seems very lonely, so networking and learing from others is a huge help!
Give us an insider tip that relates to your industry or startup story.
My industry is jewelry, and the tip is – focus on the fashion, the bigger picture a product is part of.
