Tell us about your entrepreneurial product or service.
Not Just A Website is the answer to small businesses that can’t quite afford a webmaster, but who do understand the potential of the internet. We consider ourselves digital partners with our customers and strive to help them not just make a “pretty” site, but to keep the site running optimally, backed up (just in case!) and of course give suggestions to improve SEO and basic online presence to support their SEM profits and SEO rankings.
What inspired you to launch your business idea?
After working in the world of design, and seeing the way that sites tended to almost rot after launching due to the lack of site maintenance know-how, I saw the opportunity. It took time to realize that this was not intuitive to everyone, but I absolutely figured it out and was shocked that there aren’t more businesses like this out there. We are almost like the webmaster that businesses wished they had, we provide solid hosting, strategy, and support through growing a business on and using the internet.
What problem does your business or organization solve?
We solve the problem of maintaining the sites of businesses that need it, and supporting our customers with cutting edge digital strategy to grow their reach and constantly improve and refine their user base and experience.
What has been your biggest challenge as an entrepreneur and how are you working to overcome it?
Transitioning from a full time job to working full time on this business was a challenge. Fortunately the company I was at wanted to focus less on tech and to outsource it instead, and I was looking to focus more on tech so it was a complete win-win! They have a familiar person to outsource to and I’m happy and ready to receive referrals.
