We provide solution for those businessmen who mostly have to move out of their towns for business purposes by providing them accommodation in Mumbai, Bangalore, Delhi, Pune, Hyderabad, Chennai, Gurgaon, Noida & other major cities where getting a home is very difficult task.
What inspired you to launch Pajasa Apartments?
Many a times it happens that start up companies expend much of the resources in marketing with the hope that it will bring in sales, which is not always the case. PAJASA is focused more on the sales aspect rather than marketing. We have put zero budget for fanciful things like branding, app design, promotions through offers and discounts etc. We believe in delivering quality service with a personal touch and unfailing commitment. The best way the sales are incremented are when a client comes back for repeated purchases, and that happens only when he is has a good first time experience.
What problem does Pajasa Apartments solve?
When we compare the different kinds of travels like work, leisure etc. it is corporate travel that constitutes most of them. Also, due to globalisation and multiple work locations, corporate travel segment has the highest growth rate, especially ones which require long term stays of 15 days to 3 months. The admin department is then burdened with the responsibility of finding a service apartment in the desired location, in the required timeframe, with the required quality and budget. We at PAJASA are the one stop solution for companies for getting the best quality serviced apartments in multiple locations, within the specified budgets and even at last minute notifications.
What has been your biggest challenge starting Pajasa Apartments and how are you working to overcome it?
PAJASA started operations in December 2014 as a service apartment aggregator with the mission statement of “Your second home in every city”. We set up our office in Powai, which is well known as the start up hub of Mumbai. There were many challenges but we grew strength by strength and in the financial year of 2015-16, we did business of INR 20 million with over 75 corporate clients. Almost 90% of the business came from corporate houses and companies which deploy their workforce on sites ranging from a week to 6 months or more, sometimes with family. All the hard work and intense research had borne fruit. The fact that service apartment industry in India is still at a nascent stage with a massive scope for growth was the primary motivation for me to venture into this industry. The immense scope can be gauged by the fact that Indian Service apartment market is less than 1% of the international market. I started alone and today we are a team of 6 and I can say proudly that our revenue generated per employee is higher than many other start ups. From an inventory of just 10 apartments in Powai to covering over 500 apartments in more than 100 locations in Mumbai, Pune and Bangalore, we have come a long way indeed. Our target for next year is to add 10 cities and 5000+ apartments to our inventory.

1. $3,00,000 Revenue in financial year 2015-2016.
2. Growth target is 150% for current financial year as marker growth can be achieved 500%.

4.Customer acquisition cost is very less and number of repeated booking with average ticket size of $750 each.
