Tell us about your entrepreneurial product or service.
New School Social Media Management (NSSMM) contracts Millennials to help clients creatively optimize their next digital project, extend reach, and/or increase brand awareness.
What inspired you to launch your business idea?
As a single parent of three children (2 millennials/daughters and one son, age 8), I found myself frustrated at the amount of “meaningless” time my daughters spent engaging in social media. So, I put my MBA to work and created New School Social Media Management (NSSMM) as a subsidiary of my company, Single Parent Living, LLC.
What problem does your business or organization solve?
New School Social Media Management (NSSMM), unlike traditional marketing firms, utilizes the untapped and innovative potential of Millennials to develop fun and creative concepts for digital marketing campaigns.
What has been your biggest challenge as an entrepreneur and how are you working to overcome it?
My biggest challenge has been balancing my single parent lifestyle. Since my children are getting older, I can utilize them more for daily activities – instead of doing it all myself – ex. wash dishes, take out trash, plan a menu for meals, etc.
Give us one word that people might use to describe you.
How has Project Eve helped you and/or your business?
Project Eve has helped me with increased and immediate exposure for my business.
Give us an insider tip that relates to your industry or startup story.
Millennials mean business. It takes a millennial to market to a millennial. So, why not give them a voice . . . and a job, too?
