What inspired you to launch your business idea?
As a professional women I was constantly struggling to find day to evening office appropriate clothes that were stylish, comfortable and versatile enough to accompany me to meetings, events and then on. Finding clothes, shoes and accessories that combined and still gave me a little variety for travelling with a carry-on suitcase was another nightmare. So, I realized that it couldn´t be hard only for me. After a little market research I confirmed that other professional women across the world had the same problem. Health and wellbeing is also an important part of any womans life. There were plenty of options to buy natural cosmetics and organic food, however, there weren´t many clothing options and the options that were available were not work appropriate. I decided to combine my fashion needs and wellness routine to create a women´s contemporary workwear brand made with 100% certified organic fabrics.

What has been your biggest challenge as an entrepreneur and how are you working to overcome it?
There is still a stigma around the word “eco” in fashion. People have the impression that organic clothes are just for granola crunching tree-huggers. It is definately not true. There are amazing, elegant and sophisticated fabrics that allow us to create designs on par with any mainstream fashion brand. I spend a lot of time educating customers on what it really means to wear sustainable fashion, showing them how chic organic can actually look.
Give us one word that people might use to describe you.
Entrepreneur fits pretty well. It describes both my current profession as well as my personality and the approach I take to my personal affairs. I always seem to move in what is for me a sweet spot that lies at the intersection of opportunity, strategic thinking, risk vs. reward, and fun in everything I do.
How has Project Eve helped you and/or your business?
it is wonderful to have a place to “meet” and interact with other women entrepreneurs, even if it is just virtual.
Give us an insider tip that relates to your industry or startup story.
Fashion is beautiful and inspring but there are many ugly things that go on behind the scenes. Fashion is one of the most contaminating industries. Toxic chemicals and materials derived from petroleum are used to make the clothes you wear. These toxic chemicals also have a global reach crossing continents and oceans. Residuals from manufacturing contaminate ending up in the food you eat, the water you drink, and the air you breathe. Open you closet and just begin to image the impact just from your clothes alone. Then think about the rest of the world. Thinking twice about your choices in fashion can have a mejor impact on the world affect people, planet and profit. Take advantage of this power and make your spending $ count.
