What inspired you to launch your business idea?
A couple of studies were done a few years ago which showed that women have a basic fear of finance, and that they feel intimidated by many of the people who are meant to be giving them advice and help in the financial world.
What problem does your business or organization solve?
The Financial Woman allows women to learn and share their tips and resources in a community based environment, in their own space and at their own pace.
Our experts come from some pretty impressive firms, and are some of the top in their fields. But they all give freely of their time and experience, hoping that it will not only empower women but also provide the tools for these women to teach youth about money as well.
What has been your biggest challenge as an entrepreneur and how are you working to overcome it?
Our biggest challenge has been juggling full time careers with providing a free resource online. We are now outsourcing some of the back office work, like scheduling posts, updating our website and managing mailouts.
