The big question is, what are you going to do with it all?
- Eat it and then hate yourself later
- Let your kids eat it and then let them bounce off the walls for hours
- Try to ignore the huge bowl calling your name every time you walk by it
The first two choices are not smart. The third choice is just not practical. So, how about a fourth choice?

Too Much Halloween Candy? : Donate it
There are a lot of places who will take donations of candy. Many places all around the country accept Halloween candy to send overseas to our troops. The best way to find them is to simply do an internet search. Find out who’s doing it near where you live. Then find the drop off location. At least you know the candy is going to a good cause.
You can also donate it to a local homeless shelter. Candy and sweets are a real treat to someone who doesn’t even know where their next meal is coming from. What may seem like “nothing” to you is a real something to a person in need.

There are countless recipes that you can try out to get rid of too much Halloween candy. Granted, they are goodies too, but at least you’re not just eating candy! If you have too many M&M’s you can make chocolate chip cookies with them. If too many Snickers bars are around, why not try a Snickers Pie? The possibilities are really endless once you start thinking outside of the candy wrapper.
