Tell us about your product or service.
We are an online retail boutique that offers a unique range of ethically sourced home and fashion accessories and children’s products. We carefully select products from around the world that fulfil at least one criteria of being either fair trade, ethical, socially responsible or recycled. Our vision is to encourage consumers to think differently about the choices they make and little changes they can make to their lives to live in a more considered and sustainable way whilst still enjoying beautiful things. We want to create a community of customers who share our vision; care about these important issues and enjoy great products and can take part in fundraising for worthwhile causes. As most of the companies we work with are small and often craft communities, many of our products are handmade or one-off pieces which give them extra special qualities, which are further enhanced by the inspiring stories behind them.
What inspired you to launch your business?
We started Yours Sustainably from a love of unusual and original design and a growing concern for the future of the environment and people in it. it is exciting to think that we are supporting some great companies and projects and hopefully working towards making a positive change in the world and being part of an ever growing movement of people that recognise the importance of thinking and acting on sustainable issues.
What problem does your business or organization solve?
We are aiming to prove that our customers do not have to compromise on style and quality when buying ethical products. We are solving the problem of matching great design with sustainability, in both home and fashion accessories over a range of accessible prices.
What has been your biggest challenge and how are you working to overcome it?
Our biggest challenge is spreading the message about sustainable issues and encouraging the average consumer to change their spending habits. It is easy to reach like-minded people via social media and online publications but it is harder to reach those to which sustainability is not yet an issue or concern. We are working on ways to communicate the issues of sustainability in a more engaging and entertaining way, such as our recent fundraising clothes swap event and our upcoming videos telling the stories of some of our products.

How has Project Eve helped you and/or your business?
As newcomers to Project Eve we hope to reach more people with our message that sustainability can equal style, innovation and desirability ‘STYLE THAT MATTERS’.
